Helping Hands
Helping Hands is a volunteer support network for the whole of the Brighton & Hove Jewish Community, and a registered charity.
Our aim is to provide care and assistance both in practical and psychological terms across the community.
We work with people of all ages and problems, our volunteers could be visiting or phoning someone who is lonely, shopping for the house bound, driving people to medical appointments, or to our monthly teas. Whatever is needed.
Helping Hands has become known as a caring, efficient and confidential service that can be relied upon by everyone concerned working along side other established organizations both within the Jewish and wider community.
Helping Hands provide training, workshops and support for our volunteers, and we send out a quarterly newsletter to keep everyone involved and informed.
We are also very excited as we have just purchased a brand new 16 seat bus which will be of great benefit to all, and are always looking for drivers.
