EDRS, founded in 1935, is now the largest Synagogue in Europe with 2000+ family units, caring for 4000+ people.
Rabbi Daniel Smith, our Senior Rabbi, appointed in 1993 was joined by our Associate Minister, Rabbi Neil Kraft in 2002.
Both men and women play prominent and equal roles in leading services and the running of the Synagogue. We aim to be a caring and inclusive community supporting our members and others with compassion at all times.
Through our website and the regular monthly magazine, EMET, we keep in touch with our members, publicising the wide range of activities run by professional staff and volunteers.
We are a dynamic, forward-looking organisation always looking to develop our activities and services to the community. Volunteers are the backbone of all we do at EDRS and they are highly valued and well supported.
