Tikun - Light Up A Life 2008 Help warm the hearts of London's needy this winter
Tikun's Light Up A Life campaign is an annual initiative that aims to motivate hundreds of Jewish people from all walks of life to volunteer over the winter holiday period 24th December- 1st January.

Volunteering Opportunities
Homeless Shelter- 28th December & 1st January
The Stepping Stone soup kitchen in North Finchley is a small shelter for the needy to come and get some warm food in a positive environment. Volunteers will heat the meal and refreshments, serve, prepare the leftovers and clean up afterwards.
Crisis- 24th, 25th & 28th December
Crisis fights homelessness and prevents people from remaining trapped in the cycle of homelessness. Volunteers will be taking part in a variety of tasks ensuring the safe and effective running of one of their shelters such as=2 0serving and preparing food or directing the homeless to areas to shower have a haircut/shave and enjoy the day. Crisis needs volunteers for a minimum of 2 sessions.
GIFT Food Packing for Needy Jewish Families- 24t & 26th December
Tikun will be joining GIFT for their food packing drive that helps needy Jewish families in the community.
Jewish Care - 25th & 26th December
Jewish Care looks after the elderly, frail, sick and vulnerable members of our community. Volunteers will be visiting homes to spread warmth into the lives of the residents through informal contact and personal communication. They will also help serve lunch and join in with the afternoon's activities.
Barnet Rotary Club- 25th December
Barnet Rotary Club serves food to a number of disadvantaged Londoners at Ewen Hall in Barnet. Volunteers will set up, serve food, clean and wash up a lunchtime meal .
