Want to Volunteer?
Volunteering is about making positive contribution to your community, whatever your age and background. And yet it can give so many things back, allowing you to:
- Learn new skills
- Gain self-confidence
- Discover your strengths and talents
- Gain work experience
- Explore career options
- Meet new people and socialise
- Do a mitzvah
- Just have fun!
Whether you choose to give one hour a week to a local organisation, one month contributing to a national campaign or go volunteering abroad for a year, JVN wants to match volunteers with the right opportunities to fit their interests and skills.
You choose what you would like to do: whether it's one-off volunteering projects like helping out at an event or doing something more long-term like befriending - there really is something to suit everyone.
If you are at school or a student, click on the menu to the right to find out more. If you would like to volunteer in a synagogue setting rather than a charity, all the major synagogue bodies are represented there too. If you'd like to volunteer in Israel or elsewhere go take a look!
Perhaps you have a specific skill to offer or there is something you would like to do which is not listed. If so please contact us and our dedicated team will endeavour to find a suitable match for you.
Alternatively check out our links, which might help you locate organisations and resources relating to volunteering in the UK and overseas.
