VOLUNTEER COORDINATORS INFORMATION PAGE

A critical part of JVN's work is supporting the very people who make volunteering possible in the Jewish and wider community - its dedicated Volunteer Coordinators. JVN works both on a National/London basis and Regionally.

London Volunteer Coordinator Network and Forums - a chance to learn, network and create communities

JVN - working with a dedicated committee of Volunteer Coordinators from AJR, Jewish Care, JWA, Norwood, Tzedek and an independent consultant - delivers approximately three Volunteer Coordinator Networking Seminars a year looking at all things volunteering - from communicating with volunteers via social media to practical updates regarding CRB checks and changes to the Vetting and Barring scheme.

The Volunteer Coordinators Network is designed to help organisations and volunteer coordinators work more collaboratively together, making their work with volunteers more effective. The events provide an open, interfaith platform for Coordinators to network and share ideas as well as common challenges.

In addition to the live events, JVN circulates timely and volunteer-relevant information on free training, events and volunteer news, from a variety of sources such as the Association of Volunteer Managers, Volunteering England and the NCVO to its Volunteer Coordinator database.

If you would like more information about becoming part of our Volunteer Coordinators database and come along to the Networking events please call Hilary on 020 8203 6427 or email hilary@jvn.org.uk

Regional Volunteer Coordinator Forums - building capacity and creative collaboration

As part of its focus on the Jewish regions of the UK - Birmingham, Brighton and the South Coast, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester - JVN is now developing Volunteer Coordinator Forums in conjunction with each community's specific needs and its communal organisations. So far, there have been two Regional Forums - in Leeds and in Manchester - looking at challenges such as volunteering recruitment, volunteer induction, as well as wider community challenges.

As a result of the forums, JVN is planning to work with each community to create Charity and Volunteering Fairs to highlight what the community needs - and what they have to offer. are planned to truly highlight the communities needs and what they have to offer.
