Volunteer to Reclaim London with the Fayre Share Foundation

Location: Stamford Bridge Stadium

Availability: 2nd and 5th March

Times of Day: 9am to 11am on 2nd March, 8am to 6:30pm on 5th March

Hours per week: 12-13

We are looking for eight volunteers to assist us at Reclaiming London Together, an important event that we are holding at Stamford Bridge Stadium to promote collaboration between charities, faith communities, philanthropists, artists and young people themselves to offer empowerment and hope to London's next generation.
Speakers for the day include the Mayor of London, Camila Batmanghelidjh, and the Bishop of Southwark, with contributions from David Lammy MP, Respublica's Phillip Blond, and the LSE-Guardian Reading the Riots project. Baroness Maeve Sherlock will discuss the Government's findings in to the disturbances, and there will be further engagement from the Metropolitan Police Service.

Applicants must be available from 9-11am on the morning of Friday 2nd March 2012 for orientation, and also be able to volunteer for the entire event day (8am-6:30pm) of Monday 5th March 2012.

Responsibilities for the event include:

Assisting guests and speakers at the event and providing them with directions or other venue information
Registering guests efficiently
Assisting in providing a safe and friendly environment for fellow volunteers, guests, and speakers

We are looking for volunteers who:
Have a strong interest in the issues facing young people leading up to and following the summer disturbances
Are team players and work well with others
Are friendly and personable
Have excellent attention to detail
Have strong communication skills.

We will reimburse you for travel to and from Stamford Bridge Stadium on the two days we require you (within zones 1-6) and we will provide lunch on the event day.
