TRUSTEE INFORMATION PAGE
Trusteeship is a key area of volunteering in the Jewish community. One of the reason's why Jewish charities have been so successful is the fact that people are willing to commit to becoming trustees and dedicate the many hours needed for growth and impact.
As such a critical and skilled role, JVN is keen to support the trustees of the Jewish community by providing information and providing trustee networking and service. From time to time we also hold trustee seminars, designed specifically for and are relevant to trustees and will be developing our work in this area over the next year.
If you are an organisation in need of a trustee or if you are interested in finding out more about becoming a trustee of a charity yourself, please contact us on 020 7443 5100 or email leonie@jvn.org.uk or joanne@jvn.org.uk.
In order to be able to help the Jewish community's trustees, JVN works closely with the following external bodies:
Charity Trustee Network (CTN)
CTN is the national charity for trustees, providing opportunities for trustees to share knowledge and experience with each other. They aim to: increase trustees' access to information, guidance and support through networks, a website, signposting and services and also develop understanding and awareness of trusteeship and governance
Rodney Buse formerly of CTN (and now Chair of the leading UK charity Guide Dogs) works closely with the JVN trustees and is also a member of the JVN Advisory Board as JVN recognises the need for good governance and the input that Rodney can offer to the development of JVN and its support to the JVN members.
