JCD Party @ the Mall Volunteer Registration

We're delighted to be working in partnership with Jewish Child's Day (JCD) to recruit and support volunteers for the smooth running of their Party @ the Mall fun day on Sunday 6th May 2018. We would love you to volunteer for the whole day but would be equally delighted if you can give us your time for one of the shifts:

- 11:00am – 14:30pm
- 14:00pm – 17:00pm

Please ensure you arrive on time for your shift(s) as there will be a briefing. We require approximately 35 volunteers per shift and you can volunteer for both!

Location: JFS, The Mall, Kenton, HA3 9TE.

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic people for the following roles:-

  • Meeting and greeting, including collecting entrance fees and selling tokens (volunteers will be managing cash and change) This role is now full!

  • Selling tokens at token stations (volunteers will be managing cash and change) - Only early shift is still available!

  • Collecting money as payment for food at BBQ (volunteers will be managing cash and change)

  • Collecting tokens in exchange for snacks at 'Nosh Stall' Only one position for late shift still available!

  • Collecting tokens at an activity station

  • Volunteers to float and lend support where needed

It is imperative all volunteers understand the importance of taking tokens at each respective activity and Nosh Stall.  Tokens equate to money; the more tokens collected by the volunteers, the more families will be encouraged to purchase further tokens which will in turn benefit JCD and the vital work they do for children in need.

Please note that roles will be located either inside or outside (weather dependent) and will require the ability to stand for a period of time.

The minimum age to volunteer is 16 years old. Children over the age of 12 can volunteer together with a parent.

If you are interested in helping out at our fabulous family fun day, then please complete the form below. We look forward to seeing you there!

Please let us know the following details about the yourself. These details will be kept confidential and will only be available to the relevant members of staff at JVN and JCD. If you are volunteering with any children (between 12 and 16 years of age) you will need to fill out a separate form for them. Please indicate which child/children you are responsible for in the additional information question (below).
The role descriptions for the event are available on the link above. Please note that preferred roles will be assigned as indicated here on a first come, first served basis. Volunteers are kindly asked to perform the role they are assigned, which will be confirmed in a later email

The day will be divided into two shifts: 11:00-14:30 and 14:00-17:00. You are welcome to volunteer for both shifts if you wish but please ensure that you are able to be on time for the shift(s) you commit to.

Please give details here of any other information you believe JCD or JVN should know in relation to your volunteering at Party @ the Mall.
Your volunteering role at the JCD Party @ the Mall on Sunday 6th May does not require a DBS check. However, JCD and JVN have a need to be particularly careful about the background of anyone that may be in contact with children and vulnerable adults. These procedures are necessary in order to safeguard children or vulnerable adults and it is a condition that needs to be fulfilled. You are required to disclose all convictions, cautions and any relevant non-conviction information. Conviction and non-conviction information will not automatically make you unsuitable for the post applied for but will be assessed with all other relevant information
Please tick this box to confirm that the information you have provided on this form is true and accurate. You hereby confirm that you are not barred from working with children or vulnerable adults and that you know of no legal or moral reason that you should not work with children or vulnerable adults.
