Speaking on the subject of How Much Is Your Time Worth?, guest speaker Alex Brummer discussed the effects of the credit cruch and financial collapse in 2008, recession and subsequent economic recovery in a room fully of city high-flyers. He was in conversation with Elissa Bayer FCSI, Senior Investment Director at Investec Wealth and Investment Ltd, and answered questions from the audience.
Mr Brummer also spoke about the value of volunteering to the economy. He said, “In the lead up to the General Election the question how much your time is worth is of increasing importance to millions of working people across the UK.”
JVN Director Leonie Lewis closed the meeting, remarking: “The importance of volunteering has never been greater. We are hugely grateful for the time our volunteers offer to both the Jewish and non-Jewish community. We know that their gift of their time and skills saves the community over £3 million a year. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude.”
