45 Aid Society
The ’45 Aid Society was established in 1963 by The Boys to raise money for charitable causes to give back to society and to look after each other.
The Boys are a group of 732 orphaned child survivors of the Nazi concentration camps who were brought to Britain after liberation in 1945. They forged a lifelong bond as members of an extraordinary extended family.
Today the ’45 Aid Society raises funds to support Holocaust education, children’s charities and to support survivors. We teach the lessons of the Holocaust through public speaking and the delivery of survivors’ testimonies to schools, universities and institutions.
The ’45 Aid Society is now led by the 2nd Generation who are also driving new initiatives and creative projects such as the Memory Quilts.
