Volunteer management seminars & training

JVN plays an important role in professionalising the management of volunteers by offering professional development opportunities to those that are responsible for volunteers in their organisations.

Bi-annually we hold Volunteer Management Seminars around topics relating to the work of Volunteer Co-ordinators and Managers. Previous topics have been, among others, ‘Professionally Developing Yourself in Volunteer Management’, ‘Dealing with Volunteers with Special Needs’ and ‘Accreditation and Incentives for Volunteers’. There is usually a small entrance fee with a reduced rate for member organisations.

Last year we also ran a series of Volunteer Management Training covering the whole spectrum of Volunteer Management in a nutshell. We will repeat a version of this Training programme sometime in 2019.
