Finding Trustees and lay leaders

JVN has become an important resource for Trustee recruitment in the Jewish Community. We help charities find the trustees they need to create a diverse and high performing Trustee Board. JVN has a pool of people who are looking for Trustee roles. Once a match has been successfully made, JVN asks the charity for a donation in order to be able to continue to carry out this work.

The following organisation have good resources for Trustees and charity sector professionals, including best practice guidelines in recruiting Trustees. We would recommend that all charities direct their Trustees to these resources and review them themselves before looking for Trustees:

NCVO

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations is the largest umbrella body for the voluntary sector in England.
 

Small Charities Coalition

This is a networking, mentoring and supporting organisation for small charities.
 

Charity Commission

This is the regulator for charities in England and Wales.
