British Friends of Boys Town Jerusalem is the long-established UK charity supporting one of Israel’s most respected educational institutions for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Boys Town Jerusalem was founded in 1948 by Rabbi Alexander S. Linchner, who dedicated his life to giving vulnerable Jewish boys, including Holocaust survivors and refugees arriving in the new State of Israel, the education, skills and values they needed to build secure and independent futures.

Today, more than 950 boys and young men aged 12–20 study on its 18-acre campus in Jerusalem. Many come from families facing poverty, instability or other significant challenges. Boys Town provides them with an outstanding academic and technological education, alongside pastoral care, practical support and a strong foundation of Jewish values.

Students develop skills in fields including engineering, electronics, computing and robotics, preparing them for meaningful careers and lives of contribution. For more than 75 years, Boys Town Jerusalem has helped generations of young people overcome difficult circumstances and fulfil their potential.
