The former Joy and Stanley Cohen Volunteers’ Hall of Fame was established in 2017 to showcase the accomplishments of the outstanding winners from the previous year selected in the top categories at that time. The four awards initially honoured were:
- The Award for Youth Volunteering (for individuals under 18)
- The Award for Young Adult Leadership in Volunteering (for individuals under 25)
- The Volunteer of the Year Award
- The Judy Citron Award for Lifetime Achievement in Volunteering
