Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award Ann and Bob Kirk z"l, Liberal Jewish Synagogue

Together, Ann and Bob z”l were founder members of the LJS Members’ choir, singing for 30 years. They were joint editors of the
monthly LJS Newsletter from 1992-1998. They have helped organise numerous events and concerts, regularly participating in many services, in particular providing central personal testimonies for our Kristallnacht memorial services.

Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award: Cheryl Brodie, JLC

Cheryl is a hugely valued member of the JLC Lead team. She joined the JLC in 2019 as a Learning & Organisational Development Consultant. Cheryl was seeking a way to give her professional skills in a voluntary capacity and utilise her wealth of experience in organisational strategy to contribute to the success of the organisation and the professional development offering specifically.

Outstanding Volunteer Team of the Year: Merger Team, Kisharon Langdon

The Kisharon Langdon Merger Team is a highly innovative and motivated team who implemented the largest communal merger for over 30 years.

Bringing two large organisations together with different religious and cultural ethos, different work cultures, systems and locations is a testament to the Merger Team’s bold and innovative vision. The team ensured that people supported by both Kisharon and Langdon will continue to thrive and grow thanks to the merged charity’s wider breadth of services and more comprehensive offering.

Outstanding Young Adult Volunteer of the Year: Abigail Saltman, Jewish Care
 

Abigail has been a member of Jewish Care’s MIKE Youth Leadership Programme for over 4 years. A senior leader, in the MIKE youth leadership programme, which motivates, inspires, and educates young people in Redbridge, Abigail’s unwavering dedication, exceptional commitment, and remarkable contributions have truly set her apart as an exemplary volunteer within our community. Abigail’s enthusiasm for giving back is contagious. Despite her youth, she has demonstrated a maturity and empathy beyond her years, consistently going above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of those she serves
