The Jewish Community Trustees' Conference is taking place across July 2020 where we will be taking a look at several areas important to trustees, through a digital lens.
Digital has been an area often overlooked by charitable organisations but now that we are adjusting to a new way of working, it is more imperative than ever that Charities and their trustees understand the opportunities digital has to offer
Whilst we recognise some boards may have a dedicated digital trustee expert, today's day and age requires the whole board to have a greater understanding and be more digitally competent. Without the confidence and ability to embrace the digital changes available to us, the not for profit sector is at risk of falling behind. According to Charity Digital Skills Report 2019, 68% of organisations believe their board’s digital skills are in need of improvement.
We are delighted to offer you four dates in July with 2 workshop sessions on each evening, giving trustees the opportunity to go to each session.
The 2nd July features our Keynote speakers, Zoe Amar and Julie Dodd. Both have a wealth of knowledge in digital for not for profits. Zoe is Chair of The Charity Digital Code of Practice. She writes for Third Sector about charities and digital issues and co-founded the Social CEOs awards . Zoe and her team produce an annual barometer of how charities across the UK are using digital, The Charity Digital Skills Report. She also co-authored The Charity Commission’s digital guidance for trustees, ‘Making Digital Work’.
Julie is head of Digital Transformation at Parkinson’s UK and is responsible for maximising the potential of digital and technology to improve Parkinson's management and transform the lives of people affected by Parkinson's. She also authored The New Reality, a major study into how non-profit organisations can approach digital transformation.
