Volunteer Office Admin Assistant
To assist the Collections team with arranging donor collections and undertake various administrative roles as specified below. This role would suit anyone wanting to get back into an office environment and gain further administration experience.
Guidance as to the role is described below, under the supervision of the Collections & Marketing Manager and Collections Administrator. We are mindful that the list below reflects the whole range of duties a volunteer might undertake and the role may be modified by the Collections & Marketing Manager to suit your abilities and strengths and the time you have available.
· To taking incoming calls from existing and potential new donors in a confident and friendly manner and enter their details and donation on to our Servoy database.
· To confirm the timings with donors prior to their collection taking place by telephoning them.
· To help with general data input and filing.
· To liaise with drivers and shops when required.
· To take incoming calls from our shops and forward onto the relevant member of staff.
· To assist with the sending of mail-outs and franking of letters.
· To assist with any other general administration required in the office.

You will be assisting us greatly to raise money for the charities we support. You will learn about customer care and engagement, and merchandising in a business environment and gain telephone skills and learn use of database.

We are looking for a wide range of people. Students, people starting off on their careers, those who have had a career break and are looking to get back into the working world, the newly retired or those simply wishing to give back to their community. We are keen to recruit people who have a confident and friendly manner to take incoming calls from prospective donors and administer collection schedules and donor data.
What training we will provide for you
As a volunteer you will be covered by our Employer’s Liability and Public Liability insurance policies.
Full role training will be given as well as an induction including health and safety training.
We are happy to give references when we have had a good volunteering experience with you.
