Alma Primary is a school founded by a group of parents and educators in Barnet which opened with its first Reception class of 30 children in September 2013. This first class graduated, moving to secondary schools in the summer of 2020 and Alma has been oversubscribed every year since it opened.

Alma Primary brings together children from across the Jewish community and from the wider local community. This inclusivity and diversity goes hand in hand with our strong Jewish values, including derech eretz – respect for everyone. At Alma Primary we have created an environment that equips children to become imaginative, caring and engaged learners in a changing world. Whether using their skills to solve problems or tell stories, we strive to deepen children’s understanding of who we are and what we can do to make our world a better place.
