KeshetUK is a training and education charity with a vision of a world where no-one is forced to choose between their LGBT+ and Jewish identity.
As part of our Community Life Programme, we have begun piloting a new Community Life Training Menu. We are excited to be partnering with JVN to offer a pilot training session. This is an opportunity for you to be among the first to receive this new training, and in turn provide us with invaluable feedback to help us improve it going forward.
In this session, we will cover:
- a primer on key terms to help understand how to be more supportive of LGBT+ colleagues, family, and friends;
- tools to follow up on our first thoughts with second thoughts, and to question our assumptions about people;
- an introductory session to learn more about trans identities and a space to ask questions and learn how to best support trans people in their workplaces and lives.
KeshetUK works to create sessions that are educational. This means we aim to create spaces that are non-judgemental, and where we presume goodwill. We presume you are at our sessions because you want to learn, support, or understand the LGBT+ community more and may have questions you’d like to ask. We presume that you are coming from a good place and so we answer with that presumption in mind.
