The Mission
For the BMFF to bring key organisations and people together all across Barnet to plan and organise a Faith and Cultural Carnival intended to bring smiles and confidence back in these challenging and complex times and demonstrate our strength of what can be achieved when we work together in harmony, peace and understanding.

The Vision
To demonstrate the positive character that faith organisations contribute towards social cohesion and to showcase the rich, cultural diversity of the various communities residing within the Borough of Barnet.

The Aim
To bring together people of all ages and all abilities to promote the wonderful social action projects currently organised by faith organisations in the Borough in an attempt to show the positive attributes faith communities play in the building of a healthier society for us all.

The Objective
• To organise a Faith and Cultural Festival of Unity on August Bank Holiday Monday 29th 2016 at the Allianz Stadium ( Copthall)
• The event will have at its heart, music, drama, dance, sport, food, entertainment, exhibitions and discussions all aimed to promote the excellent nature and character of the Borough;
• The event will inform and educate one another of what each group can and cannot do according to its traditions and beliefs and what is possible to achieve within an environment of trust, confidence and cooperation;
• Individual working parties will be invited to participate in organising groups under the umbrella of a main executive structure to plan & organise the event
• Business sponsorship will be encouraged and the Council will need to agree to the logistics;
• We will encourage Schools, youth organisations of all descriptions, Colleges & Universities;
• The Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulance and NHS services to support this project;
• Faith Leaders and Faith Communities, together with the myriad of culture and ethnic groups now living in the Borough;
This is an ambitious project to build upon previous Borough experiences such as the Olympic Torch Run the Multi Cultural Carnival and other major events
We will proudly demonstrate how strong and confident we are, living within our diverse communities and of;-
That which binds us together and not which divides us.
