Courageous Conversations
The role of the volunteer manager puts you in many situations where you need to have crucial conversations with those ‘Below’ you those ‘above' you as well as your peers. The complexity of some of the issues you deal with alongside the changing power dynamics, depending on the role you are fulfilling at the time, requires multiple perspectives and a deep level of self awareness as well as the skills to say the right things in the moment.
We are delighted to be joined by Cheryl Brodie and and Isabelle Iny.
Cheryl is a charity expert and independent consultant working in learning, development and organisation development. Cheryl founded and helps run the Alyth Synagogue asylum-seeker drop-in centre and is the Trustee of a hospice. She is passionate about helping organisations and individuals improve their work to be more productive and focused.
Isabelle is an independent management consultant with experience that spans NHS, local government and the private sector. Isabelle has particular skills in meeting organisational and personal goals through: Change Management, Organisation Development, Mentoring and Coaching, Career Management and Quality Management. Isabelle has particular expertise in partnership working between Health, Social Services and Education.
