Together with Volunteering Barnet, JVN offers you a Data Protection workshop on Wednesday 29th November that will advise on best practice in keeping data of your service users safe and will cover the upcoming changes under GDPR. It will be run by Rowenna Fileding from data protection consultancy firm Protecture.
Topics to be covered on the day include:
- understanding of the principles and conditions of data processing and data subject rights under GDPR;
- practical tools to ensure your organisation complies with Data Protection legislation;
- subject access requests and how to deal with them, consent and other conditions for processing, international transfers of data and how to protect your data when using third party suppliers such as printers;
- how to identify data protection risk in your charity.
This workshop is being provided for a nominal charge of £10 per person to cover administration costs and refreshments. It will be run by Rowenna Fielding from data protection consultancy firm Protecture.
Due to limited space, we are only able to provide space for two delegates per charity and priority will be given to JVN Member charities.
