This session will be taking place on Zoom.
The role of volunteers is changing, but good practice in volunteer management remains the key to valuing volunteers and ensuring a positive and fulfilling experience for all concerned. This training, held over four mornings, is aimed at those organisations who are starting to work with volunteers, or have been working with volunteers but would like to expand their programme.
As a participant you will work with your peers to create practical ideas for recruiting, inducting, engaging and supporting volunteers in your organisation, taking into account the volunteers' needs and your own. It will also examine issues of policy, training and overcoming barriers. We will look at how to ensure a safe and stimulating environment for your volunteers, helping to build a culture of volunteering within your organisation.
Part IV: Volunteer Recognition, Retention, Policies and the Law will look at:
- Policies
- Volunteer retention, reward and recognition
- Volunteers and the law (including insurance)
- DBS checks
- Exits and departures
Use the booking form below to book for Part IV only.
