Goods For Good
Help Pack Essential Goods for Families Affected by the Nepal Floods
Goods For Good is preparing two containers of essential goods for communities affected by the catastrophic floods in Nepal, and we need volunteers to help us get the second container ready for dispatch.
During a practical packing session at our warehouse in Croxley Park, you will work alongside other volunteers to sort and pack new thermal clothing and other essential goods donated by UNIQLO and others.
No previous experience is needed. Our team will explain the tasks and support you throughout the session.
Commitment: One two-hour packing session.
We accept anyone over 16.
What difference you will make
By giving just two hours of your time, you will help turn donated stock into practical support ready to be transported to communities affected by the floods in Nepal.
The goods will be distributed through the Community Self Reliance Centre (CSRC), our charity partner in Nepal. Their local team has identified where support is needed and will oversee distribution within affected communities.
Every box sorted and packed helps us get these essential goods one step closer to the people who need them.
What additional skills or experience you should have
No previous experience or specialist skills are required.
We are looking for volunteers who are happy to work as part of a team and follow simple sorting and packing instructions.
Tasks can be adapted based on physical capability.
We accept anyone over 16.
What training we will provide for you
You will receive a brief introduction and instructions at the start of your session, including guidance on how the goods should be sorted and packed.
Goods For Good staff will be available throughout the session to provide guidance and answer any questions.
What you will get out of volunteering for us
This is a practical opportunity to make a difference in just a couple of hours.
You will:
- Contribute directly to Goods For Good’s Nepal relief effort.
- See the immediate impact of your time as donated goods are prepared for dispatch.
- Meet and work alongside other volunteers from the local community.
- Learn more about Goods For Good and how we turn donated surplus goods into support for communities in need.
- Be part of a collective effort to get essential goods to families affected by the floods.
