Impact Assessment Seminar - Wednesday 20th May

Wednesday 20th May 2015, 09:15-12:30
JVN, Wohl Campus for Jewish Education, 44a Albert Road, London NW4 2SJ
Join JVN for an interesting seminar on 20th May for those involved in volunteer management, on the topic of Impact Management.

Two dynamic speakers will answer the question: How do you assess the impact of volunteers in your organisation, and why bother?

Tony Goodrow is President of Better Impact Software Ltd (UK), and Better Impact Inc. (Canada), Publisher of OurSharedResources.com, volunteer sector conference speaker on five continents, and a pioneer of the Relative Impact model of measuring volunteer ROI. Tony will talk about their software Volunteer Impact and how it can help charities manage all aspects of their volunteers. This software is proving increasingly popular within the UK voluntary sector after its initial launch in Canada, and is endorsed and promoted by Rob Jackson, well known writer and consultant on all things volunteering.

Janine Edwards, Head of Learning and Business Development at the Foundation for Social Improvement, will also give a talk on Measuring the Impact of Your Volunteers. Janine says, effectively demonstrating your impact to your key stakeholders such as donors, grant makers, partners, trustees, media and staff is essential for securing ongoing support for your work.  In addition to measuring the outcomes that your work delivers to your beneficiary group, organisations who involve volunteers have an opportunity to demonstrate the impact of volunteering – both to your organisation and for the volunteers themselves.

This session will cover:

  • Why we want to demonstrate the impact of volunteering;
  • How can we measure and communicate this effectively; and
  • What to measure and where to communicate in order to demonstrate your impact.

Hurry now and book your place to avoid disappointment! E-mail hilary@jvn.org.uk or call the office on 020 8203 6427 ext. 2.
