The Israeli Recreational Centre (IRC) is a community-led organisation supporting older Hebrew-speaking Israeli adults to age with dignity, independence, and connection.

IRC addresses a clear gap in culturally appropriate services. Many older Israeli adults face barriers accessing mainstream support due to language, cultural differences, and social isolation, which can impact wellbeing and independence.

Our work creates inclusive, culturally safe spaces where older adults can connect, access practical support, and engage in meaningful activities. We provide social programmes, wellbeing initiatives, and one-to-one guidance, all delivered in Hebrew and tailored to the community’s needs.

A key focus is intergenerational engagement, bringing younger volunteers together with older adults to strengthen community bonds and reduce isolation.

Our vision is to build a compassionate, accessible community that empowers older Israeli adults to live healthier, more independent, and socially connected lives.
