The Jewish National Fund (JNF) was founded in 1901, with Theodore Herzl as one of its key founding members. Since then, our purpose has always been to help build a Jewish state in the land of Israel.

In our early years we bought land, planted trees, drained swamps, and built the infrastructure for a functioning state. Today JNF has adapted its mission to help meet the challenges facing the state of Israel in the 21st century.

Our focus is now on making the Negev a sustainable and viable place to live. We are building new communities, developing existing ones and nurturing and sustaining the vulnerable front-line towns of southern Israel. We are making a real and tangible difference to people’s lives in the Negev and we would love it if you could give some of your time to help us achieve even more.
