JVN Awards 2025 - Volunteer of The Year Submission Form

This award recognises a volunteer who is making an outstanding contribution to your charity and thus the Jewish community and/or the wider voluntary sector. They have had significant impact on the amazing work your charity does.

This is a reminder: please make sure you sign in to your JVN account before filling out the submission form otherwise, you will not be able to save your form as a draft.

Once you have completed the form, please make sure you make the relevant payment. You can pay for the submission here. Please note that you should only access the payment page when all the submissions for your charity are complete. 

 

 

Please include your charity's website so that the judges can understand a bit more about your charity. 

Please take the time to write as much detail as possible about your Charity Winner and explain what makes them stand out. This information along with the supporting evidence is all our judges will have access to for their review. 

You will be asked to submit some personal details about your Charity Winner in this form. These details will not be passed on to any third parties. Please check this box to confirm you have permission to share them with JVN.

This will be the name which will be put on the trophy

What makes them stand out?
This could be a range of reasons including but not limited to:

- Why they are an asset to your charity
-What makes them an inspiration

Has the Charity Winner regularly volunteered, demonstrating they have a strong commitment to your charity?
Please provide specific examples, this can be through:

- Time per week/ month given
- How many years/months has the volunteer been with the charity

How has your volunteer developed in their role?

This could include but is not limited to:
- learned new skills
- became better in the role
- taken on more responsibilities e.g. supervising others

Please provide specific examples.

How has your volunteer made an outstanding contribution to your charity?

This could include but is not limited to:
- improving processes of your charity
- creating exciting new projects
- bringing other volunteers on board

Please provide specific examples.

This two-line summary should highlight why your Charity Winner has been selected. This summary will be used in our brochure. 

Please make sure the photo meets the requirements outlined below: 

- Your charity winner is alone in the photo.
- The photo is of high quality and has a good resolution 
- The photo has space around your charity winner's face, do not crop a photo too closely. 

If you do not have a photo of your charity winner, this can be sent separately via email. Please upload an image of your charity's logo so you can submit. 

If appropriate, please upload up to four relevant attachments containing supporting evidence or references along with your application. Please only use this option if you feel it will enhance the nomination. Please note that only Word, PDF, JPEG and PNG files are accepted. You may upload your supporting evidence here.
