JVN Celebration of Volunteering Awards 2020 Nominations

Welcome to the nominations page for the JVN Celebration of Volunteering 2020 Awards.

Over the last year the world has changed and it has been a challenging period for us all. Volunteering has been at the forefront of people’s minds with communities in need of urgent help for people to step forward whether it be picking up prescriptions for those shielding, telephone befriending someone who is isolated or running activities over Zoom.

Similar to last year every nominee will receive a trophy (provided by JVN) in their respective category and there will be one overall Outstanding winner in each category selected by our independent judges which will be announced at the online Awards event. The trophies will be sent to your charity's office a couple of weeks before the online awards event so you will be able to present the trophies to your nominees in a Covid-19 safe manner in advance. We will be asking you to take a photo of your nominee holding the trophy and this will be shown at the online Awards event. The online Awards event will be taking place on Tuesday 2nd March 2021.

Please note: There is a small charge of £10.00 for non-JVN members for each nomination which will go towards covering the costs of the trophies. You could instead sign up for 3 months of JVN membership until the end of March for £37.50. The benefits of membership are listed here. You can submit up to a maximum number of 3 nominations (1 in each category):

1. Volunteer of the Year or Volunteer Team of the Year *You can nominate either for Volunteer of the Year or Volunteer Team of the Year, not for both. 
2. Lifetime Achievement
3. Innovation in Volunteering during the Covid-19 Pandemic (This award is for organisations, not volunteers)

Please note you can only make one nomination in each category from your charity. You can nominate either for Volunteer of the Year or Volunteer Team of the Year, not for both.
