The JVN Excellence in Volunteer Management Charter is exclusive to our Charity Partners. It’s designed to strengthen how you manage and support volunteers, while also showing your commitment to best practice. This is also an opportunity to highlight your volunteer management to current and potential volunteers, showing your charity’s commitment to high-quality Volunteer Management.

Throughout the process, JVN is here to guide you. The Charter offers a chance to reflect on what’s working well and where you’d like to grow. It starts with a simple three-step process: complete a self-assessment to review your current volunteer management and highlight areas where extra support would help. Additionally, we would like to hear from your volunteers to better understand their volunteer experience. We are happy to run this volunteer survey for your charity, or if you already run one, we can use information from this. JVN will then work alongside you to build on your strengths and help raise standards even further. Throughout the self-assessment survey, you will be able to save it as a draft and come back to it. 

Once you’ve completed this journey, your charity will be awarded the JVN Excellence in Volunteer Management badge. You can display this on your website, documents, and all your volunteering opportunities listed with JVN — proudly showing your commitment to outstanding volunteer management. Further to this, there will be bi-annual reviews to see how it is going.
