It was a great way to celebrate the lighting of the last Chanukah candle. The event took place on 13th Decmber at The Bald Face Stag Pub in East Finchley. The room was packed to the rafters and there was standing room only for the sold-out event.
Avi Liberman could potentially become Michael McIntyre of the Jews. His comedy covers Jewish and Israeli humour taking the Jewish ways to the limits but without crossing the line. He is especially hilarious at describing what it is to be Jewish to the non-Jewish people including our very particular ways of how we celebrate the holidays.
Avi makes you feel at home and you can laugh at yourself for the religious things we take for granted.
In addition, JVN managed to recruit several new volunteers at the event in time for its massive Christmas volunteering programme, where a several non-Jewish as well as Jewish charities are looking for help.
