Kol Chai is an active Reform Jewish Community, rooted in tradition but alive to the modern world. People are at the centre of everything we do. We are a warm, caring community, which welcomes all those – wherever you are on your Jewish journey – who want to pray, learn, socialise, celebrate or mourn together.

We are dedicated to learning Jewish texts, developing meaningful worship and caring for each other and the world. We seek to be inspirational through our activities and to support each other in continuing our Jewish heritage.

We are large enough to support your needs, from our youngest children to our oldest members; but we are small enough to know your name – everyone who comes through the door will get a warm welcome. Kol Chai is an open dynamic community of all ages, all backgrounds and supportive of all Jewish lifestyles. We run a wide and innovative range of spiritual, educational, social and community activities, recognising that we are all on our own unique journey through Jewish identity.

Through our Religion School, HaMakom, our family Friday teas and Shabbat morning services, we teach our children to love Judaism. We maintain strong bonds of friendship and mutual support among our members, and encourage everyone to become actively involved.

We do all this while having a lot of fun and, above all, developing and sustaining our Community to be inspirational, spiritual, and inclusive.
