Tuesday 13th October 2020, 10:00-12:00
An online seminar for volunteer managers on how to deal with difficult people

Managing Difficult Relationships online seminar led by Ruth Dines, Therapist

Difficult people and situations can leave us feeling frustrated, demotivated and upset, but it’s a sad fact that that we all encounter challenging people in our professional and personal life.

Learning to manage difficult interactions carries enormous benefits for our physical and mental wellbeing, and in this lively and engaging course you will not only learn why some people manage these difficult situations better than others, but also acquire the skills to build your emotional toolkit so you can better manage those frustrating people in your life.

In this workshop we will also look at:

  • Why regulating your own emotions is the single most critical factor in dealing with difficult people
  • The importance of setting clear boundaries
  • The benefits of using your ears, eyes and heart to really listen to others
  • How you can become more emotionally detached by learning to objectively ‘observe’ how others behave
  • Hints and tips on improving your current relationships and people skills
