Noah's Ark Children's Hospice

Volunteer Driver

If you love driving and want to use your skills for a great cause, this is the role for you! We help babies, children and young people with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions, and their families, make the most of every day. We are looking for Volunteer Drivers to provide safe, reliable transport for families and children. Volunteers can commit to driving either on a regular or occasional basis, depending on personal preference and the needs of the families. Noah’s Ark supports families living in the London boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Camden and Islington, and Hertsmere. Most transport requests will take place across these boroughs and into central London. We appreciate as much flexibility as possible and will take on board volunteers’ preferences when sending out requests for transport. What the role involves: • providing transport for families under the guidance and supervision of the Home Support Volunteer Manager • responding to one-off requests to and from medical appointments, health and social care appointments and local community groups as required • supporting the Family Activities Team with transport to and from Noah's Ark events in the community and in the Ark

Not sure which role suits you or need a little friendly help? Please contact Angie at angie@jvn.org.uk for London or Rebecca at manchester@jvn.org.uk for Manchester.

Noah's Ark Children's Hospice

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice provides practical and emotional support to life-threatened and life-limited children or young people, and their families, living within the communities of North London. To date Noah’s Ark has worked with more than 200 families.

The charity’s aim is to support these families in a flexible way – responding to their specific circumstances with services that encompass the whole family enabling them to live positive lives and face the future with hope. These services range from practical and emotional support, outings for the whole family and, in some cases, end-of-life and bereavement care.
