Promoting volunteering

JVN aims to create a culture of volunteering in the Jewish community and beyond.

To further this aim, we stage a variety of events throughout the year to celebrate volunteering and help to encourage good practice in volunteering and volunteer management. Click here to see our full list of upcoming events.

JVN is active in Volunteers’ Week, a national celebration of volunteering at the beginning of June, and holds a variety of events, including the annual JVN Roadshow, where we take volunteering to the community! Click here to see what’s happening in Volunteers’ Week this year.

We also recognise that many people cannot always commit to regular volunteering. The JVN Ad Hoc Volunteering Squad provides one-off, low-commitment volunteering opportunities whereby people can engage with their community at a time that is convenient to them.
