Renaissance Foundation inspires young people facing various serious challenges to fulfil their unique potential. We focus exclusively on two hard-to-reach groups: young carers and young patients suffering from life-long/life-limiting illnesses. All are referred to us by well-respected authorities when they are 12-16 years old.

Whilst each group is dealing with certain specific issues, research has proven that these young people face educational, social and emotional challenges in common. These include lower academic attainment, high unemployment rates, isolation, self-destructive behaviour and lack of self-esteem. With this in mind, the charity was set up over a decade ago by Sat, following his experience of being a young patient and young carer himself. We are an independently-funded charity, which means that there is no cost implication for our referring partners or beneficiaries.
