I had retired about 8 months before the pandemic and I wanted to give back to the community and start doing some volunteering.

I didn't know where to start and a friend of mine recommended coming along to an introductory workshop run by JVN to examine what is involved in volunteering and the processes for applying for roles etc.

I attended the next one and it was excellent. It sets out the pathway for anyone wanting to volunteer.

I’ve used lots of different skills during the last 3 years and I can only thank JVN for giving me that pathway to start my volunteering journey logically and helping me to work out how to fit volunteering into my life.

I’m loving volunteering.
