Join us for a seminar specifically designed for those who manage volunteers in synagogues. You will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from those in similar roles.
Featuring guest presenters:
Lynette Sunderland, Director of Welfare and Life Cycle at Alyth Synagogue, will be presenting on how to manage fellow synagogue members and deal with difficult situations.
Michelle Minsky, Head of US Chesed, will be presenting on how synagogue volunteers differ from other volunteers. She will also speak about the Jewish Hospital Visitation Serivce.
Leonie Lewis, Director of JVN and Vice President of the United Synagogue, will be presenting on how to galvanise your volunteers on a more regular basis.
John Coleby, Director of Caritas, Diocese of Westminster, will talk about his experiences of volunteer management in churches and parishes, giving an interfaith dimension to the event.
The seminar will be facilitated by Lia Bogod, JVN Head of Volunteering and Judy Fearn, Volunteer Coordinator at New North London Synagogue.
