The Northern Charity and Volunteer Fair
Hosted by JVN and the Board of Deputies, the Northern Charity and Volunteer Fair is an opportunity to bring our community together and celebrate the charities and organisations that do so much across Manchester and the North.
We want people to be inspired by the depth of support happening across the community, meet the organisations behind it and find out how they can play their part.
By taking a stand, you can showcase your charity, meet potential volunteers, trustees and supporters, and connect with other organisations working across the community. Whether you are looking for people to give a few hours, share their professional skills or make a longer term commitment, this is your chance to start those conversations face to face.
Above all, we want the fair to celebrate what our community achieves and inspire more people to get involved.

Why be part of the fair?
The fair is a chance to meet people who want to contribute to our community, while raising awareness of the important work your organisation does.
Showcase your work – help more people understand what you do, who you support and the difference you make.
Meet potential volunteers and trustees – speak directly to people interested in giving their time, experience and skills.
Reach new people – introduce your organisation to those who may not already know about your work or realise how they could get involved.
Share different ways to get involved – from one off and flexible volunteering to skills based roles, trusteeship and longer term opportunities.
Build community connections – meet other charities and organisations, share ideas and strengthen relationships across the sector.
You may meet your next volunteer, trustee or supporter, more importantly, you’ll be helping us show how much is happening across our community and the many different ways people can be part of it.
After the fair
We’ll follow up with participating organisations to hear about the connections and opportunities that came from the event. This will help JVN and the Board of Deputies understand its impact and continue developing initiatives that support volunteering and strengthen our community.
