As part of our Volunteers' Week special event, Mitzvah Day and Feast with Us will be joining us as we learn how easy it can be to fit volunteering into our sometimes, very busy lives. The event will look at the flexibility of volunteering, volunteering in the future and how volunteers are key to organisational and community growth.
Feast With Us, a London-based food poverty charity, will be sharing how building teams of volunteers enables them to continually develop their services to clients across London. Also, Mitzvah Day will be leading a micro-volunteering activity. The following items will be needed for the activity:
- an envelope
- a stamp
- card or paper
- coloured pens/felt tips
- any other stickers or arts and crafts items they have at home
If you have not yet begun your volunteer journey, or if you have a few unexpected hours to fill, this session will remind you of the power of volunteering. Forward to any friends or family who may be interested in volunteering.
