As part of our Volunteer Week programme, we are delighted to welcome Catherine Johnstone, CEO of Royal Voluntary Service. Catherine will share the challenges faced during the pandemic and the steps needed to rebuild vibrant volunteer teams. She will offer strategies for managing the expectations of volunteers, organisations and beneficiaries regarding fluid timescales, good communication and the importance of taking time to maintain the wellbeing of both staff and volunteers.
There will be a Q & A as part of the session.
Catherine became Chief Executive of the RVS in August 2017 having joined the charity as a Trustee at the start of 2017. She brings with her a wealth of experience garnered over 25 years in the third sector. During her time as CEO of Samaritans, Catherine was responsible for building long-term sustainable partnerships and delivering a five-year strategy to revitalise and future proof the charity.
