Volunteering at school

Many schools run volunteering projects of their own, while national award schemes such as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the vInspired Award, alongside government initiatives such as the National Citizen Sevice (NCS), provide great experiences for young people and an opportunity to earn qualifications for their voluntary efforts.

JVN has an agreement with the Jewish Lads’ and Girls’ Brigade (JLGB), which leads on young people’s volunteering programmes up to the age of 20. To find out more and for a range of age-appropriate volunteering opportunities, get in touch with JLGB at evolve@jlgb.org or call 020 8989 5743. Please mention JVN in your email or phone conversation.

Alternatively, JVN does house some volunteering opportunities suitable for schoolchildren – you can use the age filter on our opportunities search page to refine your search.
