The Volunteer Managers' forum is an interactive space where participants can talk about any queries, successes or challenges they may have with their peers. This Forum will be facilitated by Laura Gaskell and Kiranpreet Rehal of the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). It will be focused on how charities can use the DBS and any concerns and questions you may have about the service.
Laura and Kiranpreet will discuss the benefit of your organisation and the DBS working together, the different levels of DBS checks, how to use the DBS update service, and how to make a good quality referral, and much more.
If there is an issue around DBS checks that you would like us all to discuss, please notify us in advance we will be sure to include it. Please send any ideas you wish to discuss to rachelle@jvn.org.uk.
As we recognise this is such an important issue for charities, tickets for the forum cost £10 for charity partners and £15 for non-charity partners. The cost of the ticket enables multiple members of your team to attend, please ensure we have all their contact details.
