What is a Trustee and how do I become one?

Monday 18th October 2021, 18:00-19:00
Zoom
Learning about what a Trustee is and how to become one at this interesting online seminar.

Are you interested in learning how your skills, knowledge, or life experience can enhance a Trustee Board?
The value charities bring to our society is widely known and we have seen this even more so throughout the pandemic, but have you ever thought you may be exactly who a charity needs to help them grow?

Trustees join boards for a variety of reasons, they may be experts or have experience in specific areas e.g. finance, HR, marketing, fundraising, business/service development or they may have direct or lived experience of whatever it is the charity is supporting e.g. homelessness.

Some people may feel a lack of experience is an initial barrier to join a Charity Board, however, this should not be the case. Charities benefit from nurturing talent.

Join Getting On Board, JVN, and Lead on Monday 18th October at 6 pm when Leon Ward FRSA, from Getting On Board, will lead this interactive session giving an introduction to what Trustees are, what they do and give you some top tips on how to become one.

The deadline has passed to book for this event.
