Volunteer at Hertsmere Mencap's dynamic Thursday evening Youth Club in Borehamwood (2 hours)
Volunteering at our Thursday evening Youth Club is alot of fun. As a volunteer, you will:
Engage with Youth: help facilitate activities, games and discussions
Create Fun: Contribute to a lively and welcoming environment
Be Part of a Community: work with a dynamic team
Build skills: Enhance your leadership, communication and teamwork abilities
Join a team of caring, fun and dedicated volunteers and staff and most feel a huge sense of enjoyment and satisfaction volunteering with us.
What difference you will make
You will be helping people with learning disabilities & autism to feel less isolated, to feel part of a group and feel valued
What additional skills or experience you should have
e are looking for volunteers with good communication skills, empathy, patience and be ready to have a good time and feel inspired and rewarded.
All volunteers will be required to provide 2 references and complete a DBS check (paid for by Hertsmere Mencap)
What training we will provide for you
We provide out volunteers with a range of training, including:
Introduction to Learning Disabilities, First Aid and Epilepsy
What you will get out of volunteering for us
