WIZOUK raises funds to support vulnerable women, children and families across Israel, regardless of their religion or background.

The projects we support include domestic-abuse shelters, trauma and grief counselling, day-care centres, youth villages, schools and programmes helping vulnerable young people and families rebuild their lives.

By helping us identify new funding opportunities and prepare strong applications, you will play an important role in enabling WIZOUK to develop relationships with trusts and foundations and raise vital funds for this work.

Previous experience of researching trusts and foundations or preparing grant applications would be highly advantageous. We would also welcome applications from people with strong research and writing skills who are interested in developing their experience in this area.

Strong written English and the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
Good online research skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Confidence using Word, Excel and email.
Good organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
The ability to work independently, manage agreed tasks and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with members of the WIZOUK team.
Discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
A genuine interest in WIZOUK’s work supporting vulnerable women, children and families in Israel.

The volunteer will receive an introduction to WIZOUK and the projects and services we support. Guidance will also be provided on our existing trusts and foundations programme, research processes and approach to preparing applications.

The volunteer will work closely with, and receive ongoing support and feedback from, the Director of Fundraising.
