At Volunteers on Wheels, we are seeking volunteer drivers to operate our vans and help feed thousands of vulnerable people suffering from food insecurity! Who we are: At Volunteers on Wheels our mission is to alleviate food poverty and insecurity. Through our dedicated team of volunteers, we distribute vital supplies to food banks, ensuring they are able to help the thousands of vulnerable people who depend on their service. The valuable logistic service that we provide makes a real difference to people’s lives and currently enables the distribution of more than one million food parcels each year. There is a huge demand for our essential work and as a 100% volunteer operated charity, we’re always looking for more drivers to join our dedicated team and help us run our vital collection and delivery service. Your role: As a driver you will play an essential role in our operation by using our vans to collect food/supplies and delivering them to the network of food banks we support. Our service operates Monday to Friday and drivers are needed from 8:30am (starting in Mill Hill NW7) to around lunchtime. To volunteer as a driver you will need is a valid license. We have both manual and automatic vans available. Travel information: Our vans are located on Upper Page Street, Mill Hill, NW7 2BE There is free on-street parking available.
