Volunteers on Wheels
Volunteer Food Distributor
Every single day, Volunteers of Wheels collects fresh, surplus food from local distributors and delivers it straight to the food banks that need it most. As the cost of living continues to impact the demand on North London food banks is at an all-time high. We are expanding our reach to support more food banks, but we cannot do it without more volunteers on the road. We urgently need passionate individuals to join our friendly team whether driving one of our vans or helping to support our drivers.
Not sure which role suits you or need a little friendly help? Please contact our volunteer broker at volunteerbroker@jvn.org.uk for London or Rebecca at manchester@jvn.org.uk for Manchester.

Volunteers on Wheels
Volunteers on Wheels (VoW) collects and delivers food and other essential goods in bulk, to and for, food banks in North/Northwest London, Middlesex, Harrow and Hertfordshire, and surrounding areas.
Food banks have limited volunteer numbers and say our transport logistics service is a “vital link in the chain distributing more than 1 million food parcels per year” to vulnerable members of our society struggling with food insecurity and poverty.
Our service provides 3 additional social community benefits in the form of:
- Reduced food wastage.
- Reduced fuel consumption.
- Reduced environmental impact.
VoW currently supports over 40 food banks who help more than 30,000 people per week.
