Trustee With a Knowledge of Accounts Wanted for Friends of Kenwood
The Friends of Kenwood are seeking to appoint new Trustees. As a charity dedicated to inspiring visitors and promoting and preserving the unique qualities of Kenwood House, its groundbreaking architecture, world-class art collections and unique landscape, the Friends of Kenwood are seeking dynamic new trustees to help shape our future. We are looking for people who share our passion for Kenwood, or a broader passion for heritage, architecture and the arts and can contribute time, expertise and enthusiasm to ensure Kenwood continues to thrive for generations to come. In particular, we would welcome applications from individuals with expertise/experience in: • Company accounts • Other relevant expertise Trustee meetings are held at Kenwood once a quarter, but Trustees are also expected to support our wider programme of activities, including our AGM, lecture series, and a range of marketing and fundraising events. In line with most charity boards this is a voluntary opportunity. If you would like to play a meaningful role in supporting one of London’s greatest hidden gems we would love to hear from you. Applications close 18 September 2026.

Friends of Kenwood
Kenwood House and its beautiful grounds adjoining Hampstead Heath were bequeathed to the nation in 1927 by the Earl of Iveagh. This outstanding neo-classical house holds one of the most important collections of paintings ever given to the nation.
Works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Reynolds, Gainsborough and Turner all hang against a backdrop of sumptuous rooms, including the richly decorated library; one of Robert Adam’s masterpieces. The landscaped grounds and lake are enjoyed by thousands of visitors every year and form the backdrop to films, open air concerts, plays and other events.
The Friends of the Iveagh Bequest, more well-known as the Friends of Kenwood, was formed in 1977. Our purpose is to inspire visitors of today and tomorrow to promote and preserve the special qualities of Kenwood House, its collection and estate.
