Chair of Trustees for Shaare Zedek UK
Shaare Zedek UK is looking for a new Chair of Trustees. This is a particularly exciting time at Shaare Zedek. As an organisation, we are growing and looking ahead to the future. With that comes change and new opportunities. We are looking for someone who can provide leadership and guidance to the charity and strengthen our governance and fundraising, acting as an ambassador for both Shaare Zedek UK and the extraordinary work of Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem. The Chair provides strategic leadership to the Board of Trustees, ensuring Shaare Zedek UK is well governed, financially sustainable and focused on delivering its charitable objectives. Working closely with the Executive Director, the Chair fosters an effective partnership that combines support with constructive challenge, enabling the organisation to achieve its strategic ambitions while maintaining the highest standards of governance. Shaare Zedek UK – For Jerusalem’s ‘hospital with a heart’.
A small dedicated team at Shaare Zedek UK, both professionals and committee members, work tirelessly to support the work of Shaare Zedek Medical Centre in Jerusalem, one of Israel's busiest and fastest growing hospitals. The hospital combines Jewish values and traditions with world-class standards of medical excellence and treats every patient equally and without discrimination.
We raise money through donations, legacies, celebrations and fundraising events and promote the hospital’s dedication and commitment to patient care, medical research and teaching.

Volunteering:
There are various roles available to support our friendly office team. We are particularly keen to find anyone who is willing to help with regular administrative support, as well as various other functions supporting events, marketing, social media and more. We are always happy to provide work experience for people of all ages looking for a meaningful opportunity, particularly those interested in a medical career or working with Israel.
